There are approximately 40 on-going academic staff in the School, as well as casual academic staff, who are predominantly doctoral candidates. The Head of School is Professor Mark Looi.
Teaching, research and industry liaisons all form significant aspects of the School's activities. Academic staff participate in teaching, in performing world-class research into new, exciting and innovative areas, and work closely with industrial partners to solve real-world research problems and ensure relevancy in teaching programs.
An important and vibrant part of the School are the research students, enrolled in both PhD and Masters by Research programs. Many of these students are also casual tutors, enabling a further linkage between teaching and research activities.
