Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (Non-IT Graduates) (IT38)This program is designed for non-IT graduates who wish to broaden their career opportunities by gaining a postgraduate IT qualification. The program allows students to specialise in a wide range of areas including software engineering, data communications and information systems. This program aims to build on non-IT skills acquired in previous study, such as critical and analytical skills, as well as provide an IT curriculum with depth and breadth, from introductory to advance level. Students are encouraged to focus on those parts of the employment spectrum where cross-disciplinary qualifications are most appreciated. Entry requirementsApplicants must have successfully completed a bachelor degree in a discipline other than information technology with a grade point average of at least 4.5 (on a 7-point scale). Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (IT Graduates) (IT35)The Graduate Diploma in Information Technology course is aimed at information technology graduates who wish to revise, update or extend their IT skills and knowledge. With multiple specialisations now emerging in IT, applicants may wish to study advanced units in their own specialisation, and/or move into an entirely different area of IT study. Entry requirementsApplicants must have a bachelor degree majoring in information technology (IT) with a grade point average of at least 4.5 (on a 7-point scale). Alternatively, applicants without an IT degree may submit evidence of work experience and/or other training equivalent to an IT major, to satisfy the Executive Dean that the applicant is suitably equipped for tertiary studies and a course of specialised IT study.
