Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) (IT28)

Through a combination of research and advanced coursework units, students can pursue specialised studies in a particular area of information technology. The course offers an opportunity to develop research and development skills, work on cutting-edge technology, and have access to specialist hardware and software. As a successful Honours graduate you are eligible to start a doctoral program, and can expect to obtain a research or teaching position. An honours degree generally results in a wider range of career opportunities.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have completed a Bachelor of Information Technology from QUT or its equivalent, completed within 18 months prior to enrolment with a minimum grade point average of 5 (on a 7-point scale) or its equivalent; or demonstrated outstanding performance in the final year of the degree; or work experience or research considered appropriate by the course coordinator.

International student entry

QUT advises that international students may enroll only in full-time studies.
