Doctor of Information Technology (IT80)The professional doctorate course is designed for experienced IT professionals to make a significant and original contribution to professional practice within the information technology discipline and is appropriate for those wishing to pursue substantial research problems within their workplace expertise. This program is an applied research degree which aims to further a student’s knowledge and improve practice/s in an industry/professional environment. Research topics within a Professional Doctorate can include multidisciplinary problems suggested by external bodies, such as, industry, government and commerce, with joint supervisors from both academic and outside environments. The student’s doctoral work can be undertaken either on campus or at an off-campus location approved by QUT.
