START QUT is an enhanced studies program that offers university experience and preferential entry for Year 12 students.

'Go for IT gURL'

Once a year the Faculty of Information Technology offers female year 10 students the opportunity to participate in the 'go for IT gURL' workshops. It is an initiative designed to encourage year 10 females to consider careers in the ever expanding area of Information Technology.

The 'go for IT gURL' program includes a 2-day hands-on workshop which allows students to explore the range of interesting activities within IT. Workshop activities include web development, multimedia, simple programming experience and an introduction to computer hardware. Past workshops have received excellent feedback from both students and staff.

School visits and campus tours

Schools are invited to visit the Faculty of Information Technology for a campus tour and to come along and hear about what the Faculty has to offer. Workshops on a range of IT-related topics can also be arranged, at the school's request. For more information contact Alex Imani
