Bachelor of Information Technology (IT22)
The Bachelor of Information Technology offers you a wide range of options to build your information technology skill set, while complementing these skills from other professional disciplines (eg business, creative industries, science). You will gain a strong theoretical and practical foundation to advance your career aspirations. You can choose form compact and focused specialisations which allow you to hone your skills in an advanced area of information technology. Your greater depth of skills will make you industry ready and future proof.
The 24 unit degree comprises of:
- ten faculty core units that will provide you with a strong foundation for a career in information technology
- six units in an information technology major of your choice
- eight units in information technology complementary studies, including the option to undertake a second information technology major.

International student entry
The Bachelor of Information Technology is only available to international students at Gardens Point campus.
Professional recognition
As a Bachelor of Information Technology graduate, you will meet the knowledge requirement for admission to the Australian Computer Society (ACS) as a member.
Scholarships
Year 12 students who obtain an OP 2 or better (or equivalent) are eligible to apply for the Dean's Scholarship Program.
The Faculty also offers the Go for IT gURL Merit Scholarships to Queensland Year 12 female students wishing to study information technology
