Labs:
- S Block - Gardens Point
- R Block - Carseldine
- Margaret Street labs
The faculty has a range of general purpose and specialist labs for the use of its students. Specialist labs are all non-bookable labs. Bookable means that a lab can be booked by Academic Staff members for the running of tutorials and practicals.
Lab hardware
- All labs are Intel P4 series
- 1 GB RAM
- USB Flash drive support
- DVD/CD-RW / DVD-RW
- Sound Card
Multi-media labs
High-end multi-media work stations with these additional components.
- 128 Geforce FX1100 video card
- DVD-RW
You can see if a laboratory is in use by checking the timetable on the door or the laboratory availability displayed on the LCD screens in the hallways and in the lab availability area of this web site.
If a lab is not a 24Hr lab then it will be opened at 8AM and will be closed by security at 10PM. All 24 hr labs are located in S Block, level 6. Printing and scanning services are also located in S Block, room S607.
