Q1. How can I get a replacement student card if I lose mine?

Replacement student cards can be obtained from the Student Center on each campus:

  • Gardens Point - Level 1, A Block (map)
  • Kelvin Grove - Level 6, F Block (map)
  • Carseldine - C Block (map)
  • Caboolture - J Block (map)

The cost of a student ID replacement card is $15.

Q2. How do I print or photocopy at QUT?

QUT has implemented a new Copy and Print system which will require you to have a current QUT Student ID card. Your card must be activated before you can use it to print and photocopy.

Activating your card
To activate your card visit a QPS Service Centre located in the main library of each campus, with your current QUT Student ID card. Card activation will cost $2. If you are trading in an existing QUT copy card the activation fee will not apply. You may add credit to your account at the time of activation.

Adding credit
Once your card has been activated you can add printing and photocopy credit. This can be done at the time of activation, or later. There are two ways to add credit to your card:

  • Credit can be added at any QPS Service Centre, with payment by cash or eftpos.
  • Credit can also be added via the kiosks found in the student labs and various locations around campus. Payment at these machines is cash only.

Q4. Where can I find information about Student Guild activities?

The Student Guild is involved in many activities, and is responsible for all of QUT's clubs. More information can be found from the Student Guild's web site.

Q5. Where can I find campus maps?

Finding your way around the University's campuses can be difficult. On each campus there are maps located at various positions. Alternatively, you can download your own copy of the campus maps from here. This includes colour and black-and-white maps of the campuses, as well as disabled and wireless access maps.

Q6. How do I access the wireless network on campus?
