QUT supports academic staff engagement with industry and government through 'real world' consultancy assignments. Assignments range from the engagement of a single consultant to solve a specific need, including testing and expert witness services, to multidisciplinary project teams creating solutions to complex business requirements.

An example of a consulting interaction is the delivery of a business framework, value chains, process models and issue registers for Centrelink.
