Plug 'n Play with the Faculty of Information Technology

QUT’s reputation as a university for the real world is reflected in the Faculty of Information Technology’s solid and productive educational and research linkages with industry and government. Established in 1988 the Faculty has always encouraged engagement between industry and its staff and students through commercial, research and educational activities.

The Plug ‘n Play brochure lists various ways that industry engages in the life of the Faculty and the associated benefits involved. Engagements range from small interactions such as student functions, to employing Cooperative Education Program students, to long-term research relationships through mechanisms including ARC Linkage Grants or Cooperative Research Centres. Many organisations have multiple points of engagement with the Faculty through students, staff, alumni and the Faculty itself.
