Taiwan National Flag Student Scholarships - Malaysia

Queensland University of Technology's (QUT) Faculty of Information Technology is pleased to offer scholarships to students who have completed relevant post-secondary studies in Malaysia , and who have been offered a place in the Bachelor of Information Technology at QUT.

Two scholarship schemes are available:

 

IT International Scholarships for Excellence

(Full tuition fee waiver Scholarship)

Outstanding students who have completed Level 2 of an IT-related Bachelor degree at INTI or APIIT in Malaysia, achieving the equivalent of an overall Grade point Average of 6.5 (7-point scale) or better, are eligible to apply for the IT Scholarships for Excellence. Two scholarships for enrolment in QUT's Bachelor of Information Technology are allocated each calendar year. The award is payable for the normal period of time specified by the university for full-time completion of the degree, up to a maximum of three years.  The scholarship does not cover the costs of textbooks or living expenses. Scholarship recipients are expected to maintain a minimum GPA of 5.5 in the Bachelor of Information Technology at QUT to retain their scholarship.

How to apply

Students must complete an application form . Applicants can choose to commence their Bachelor of IT studies at QUT in February or July.

Application Closing Dates

Closing dates are normally set two months prior to the start of the semester. Please refer to the application form for the exact scholarship application closing dates.

Merit Bursaries

In addition to the International Scholarships for Excellence, the Faculty of IT is offering an unlimited number of tuition fee subsidies of $3000 to students who have completed IT-related AQF Advanced Diploma level studies or equivalent at an accredited institution in Malaysia, and who achieve an overall Grade Point Average of 6 (on a 7-point scale) or better. All applicants who meet the selection criteria will automatically receive the award. No application form is required for the bursaries.

Conditions for IT Scholarships & Bursaries

  • Applicants are eligible to hold only one scholarship awarded by the Faculty of IT. 
  • Students must meet all the conditions of their offer before the scholarship can be confirmed.
  • Scholarships may not  be deferred
