The Faculty of Information Technology has a research philosophy committed to serving the needs of industry and providing the intellectual challenges compatible with the traditional concept of pure research. The Faculty is involved in a number of research collaborations with government and industry, and hosts the Microsoft QUT eResearch Centre researching smart IT tools for eResearch – data capture, management, analysis, visualisation and collaboration.
